Interim VP of Membership

Want to get a taste of serving on the board before you make a full commitment to run for the board for a full term? Please get in touch with our president, Kimberly Fields, at president@tdnrc.org, to learn about a unique opportunity to serve as an Interim VP of Membership until our next election.

This is an opportunity to apply or develop expertise in building a network and identifying customer needs. If you're looking for a way to find out who's who in Talent Development, serving as VP of Membership is exactly how you can accomplish that goal.

The Interim VP of Membership will be oriented to the position by the chapter president and mentored by an ATD National Advisor as they learn the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as an Interim VP of Membership.
10 hours/month to engage in:
  • monthly board meeting
  • monthly member event (lunch program, after-work networking, or virtual event)
  • outreach to current members to learn their interests and how the chapter can serve them
  • outreach to potential new members

Content Writers for Newsletter

Content writers help our members out by scouring our chapter website and the national ATD website to find out the news, resources, and events our members simply must know about. If you wish you knew more about what our chapter and our parent organization have to offer and/or you want to gain experience as a content writer, this will provide that opportunity!
  • 0.5 hour one-time orientation (virtual or in person)
  • 2 hours/newsletter (you decide how many newsletters to contribute to)

Event Hosts

Event hosts help make our events great experiences for the speaker and our members. As the host for a meeting event, you will gain invaluable experience in event coordination as you work closely with the speaker to ensure they have what they need, communicate with the venue (which we secure for you) and the caterer, and welcome members and guests to the event.
  • 0.5 hour one-time orientation (virtual or in person)
  • 4 hours/meeting (2 hours to prepare for event+2 hours at the event)
