This presentation begins with what we know from the scientific literature on how we learn, and then discusses recommendations and best practices for the design of effective e-learning and online training, as well as addressing emerging trends in technology-distributed instruction.

Speakers Bio 

 

   Dr. Kurt Kraiger is a Department Chair and Professor of Psychology at Colorado State University.  He is also a co-founder and Chief Strategy Office for jobZology. Dr. Kraiger is a Fellow and former President of the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP).  He is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, and directs the online Masters in Applied Industrial/Organizational Psychology at CSU.  He is a noted expert on training and training evaluation, having published or presented over 140 papers on training and related topics.  He has edited or co-edited two books: Creating, implementing, and managing effective training and development systems in organizations: State-of-the-art lessons for practice, and Improving training effectiveness in work organizations.
