Well-Being Through Strengths

In this session we will focus on career well-being and the power of leveraging your strengths to enhance your career well-being. Most people spend one-third of their lives at work and yet only twenty percent of employees strongly agree that they like what they do every day. Those who do not like what they do everyday report: (1) Higher daily boredom; (2) More anger; (3) Lower engagement. Yikes!

During this interactive session you will:

  • Recognize the five elements of well-being (and the impact they have on building a Net-Thriving Culture at work)
  • Understand the underlying role that career well-being has in achieving the other elements of well-being
  • Learn to assess your well-being in the moment
  • Hear what the four risks are to achieving well-being and a Net-Thriving Culture
  • Identify how we, as talent development professionals, can support our own career well-being

About the Presenters

Elizabeth Mahoney supports managers and teams, new entrepreneurs and those seeking career change. Elizabeth has a Master's degree in Counseling and her expertise is woven with over 20 years of management experience. She is skilled at facilitating conversations and engagement within groups and holds certifications in Myers-Briggs (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory, and is a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach.
