"Adult Learning Theories" with Chris Briest
In this activity based session, you will learn about some of the most popular theories that make adult learning successful. We will cover the theories of Gange, Knowles and Maresh all the way to the scientific approach of how the human brain actually learns. After a short learning session, participants will break into groups to join other like minded individuals for an activity.
This session is geared towards designers, trainers, leaders or anyone who needs to transfer their knowledge and information from one person to another effectively. Key take- a-ways will include:
· Define the differences of Pedagogy and Andragogy
· State effective theories of how adults learn
· Recognize important components to adult learning theory
· Understand learning techniques to create and deliver training that is effective
