Because it is important for leaders of organizations to find and develop talented employees, it is critical to understand talent management.  This session will provide an overview of the components of this process:  

·       Defining talent management

·       Recognizing different types of talent

·       Examining recruitment and retention strategies

·       Recognizing challenges that may occur 

In addition to selecting talent, leaders must hone their performance management skills, and utilize the evaluation and supervision process to enhance the skills and talent of individual employee.  Participants will be encouraged to share the pros and cons of their current evaluation process as it relates to personnel development.

About your speaker:

Jan Felton is Founder and President of Attitudesplus.  She is certified by Development Dimensions International (DDI) and the Professional Woman Network (PWN) to offer workshops in leadership, communication, diversity, and workforce development. Jan holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master’s degree from the

University of Wyoming.  As a former high school principal, she gained valuable skills in leadership, team building, mentoring, and communication.  The Greater CheyenneChamber of Commerce recognized her as the 2002 ATHENA recipient for leadership in her profession and the community and for her work to help other women realize and achieve their potential.
