Success Shifting to Virtual Training: How a State DOT shifted technical training to virtual and the Best Practices that drive success!

Join us and learn how Colorado DOT shifted its Maintenance and Operations Training Programs from an in-person, classroom only model to a wholly virtual model in 4 months. Learn from the best practices that Team CDOT leveraged to minimize the impacts to its essential employees in the field and how having a plan in the early stages of lockdown has propelled successful implementation of several other programs that continue to follow!

After this session, participants will be able to:

About the Presenter

Kevin MacVittie has worked for Colorado Department of Transportation for almost 4 years. He was initially hired as a Curriculum Developer and was promoted in 2020 to Technical Training Programs Manager for the Division of Maintenance & Operations. Prior to joining Team CDOT, Kevin worked in public education as a school administrator and technology trainer, and continues to consult with public school districts on successful technology implementations and staff training programs. In his free time, Kevin is an avid mountain biker and racer and can be found crushing rocks on any of the local trails in Colorado and elsewhere.
