Is your learning program suffering from an “Identity Crisis?” Don’t let your hard work go up in flames!
If you haven’t registered yet for the Thursday, June 18th session, there’s still time. During this fact-filled hour, we will meet three, friendly, visual aids that expanded an internal course to a successful customer application. That’s right; your course identity can even come to life! Intrigued?
Well, before you see some truly “best in class” examples, we will cover the basics of a frequently overlooked element of learning design.
During The Power of Creativity in Instructional Systems Design: A First Look at Building Course Identity, you will see how to:
- Combine the power of appropriate words with images to connect with the target audience throughout the course lifecycle
- Select from 2 categories of graphics for the best audience “fit”
- Apply 5 principles for media to grab attention
- Consider 3 approaches to communicate the right tone for your adult learners
- Use visual cues wisely to help learners remember content longer
- Plan initial media, while keeping options open for repurposing the content-- regardless of your delivery format
- Get inspired to make your course identity come to life!
Bonus: During the session, you’ll receive some free job aids to help apply the material to your work.
Please register in advance so you can get your set of customized tools at the session. It’s like having your own designer “fire extinguisher” to take back to the office.
Tip: You will get the most from the session if you bring a shortlist of bullets that describes your target audience for a program. As we cover the content, you can refer to it privately and begin forming the course identity immediately!
