Recap of ATD presentation “Show Your Work”


Learning is about dialogue with material or others. What better way to start a dialogue than to “show your work.” This presentation will explore different reasons or benefits for showing your work as well as methods accomplishing this in your workplace. Presentation will also include opportunity to discuss practices among the group.

Speakers' Bio 

  

Stan is an Instructional Technology Educational Specialist assigned to the University of Wyoming, College of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. He has over 18 years experience working as an instructional technologist and trainer. He has a master’s degree in computing technology in education and has completed a doctorate in education.

Beth Gates is the Director of Global Learning Services for Philips Clinical Informatics. In this role, Beth leads a global team which is responsible for unlocking the full potential of healthcare professionals, and Philips employees through education, training and knowledge.

Over the past eight years, Beth has held a variety of leadership roles in training and consulting functions at Philips Healthcare. Beth received her bachelor’s degree in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado and her Health Industry Leadership MBA from Regis University’s College of Professional Studies.

Beth joined the Northern Rockies Chapter of ATD in 2014 and serves as its Vice President of Programs. She is responsible for leading chapter programming and activities related to professional development events. Beth is also a member of ATD National.
